About Our Program
The Raymond B. Stewart Middle School Music Program from Zephyrhills, Florida is among the most successful in Pasco County. The band seeks to provide meaningful experiences for students and future leaders through excellence in music performance. With nearly 200 members, our program includes the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Beginning Band, Jazz Ensemble, and Choir.
With the support of Raymond B. Stewart Middle School, the RBSMS Band Boosters, and the Zephyrhills Community, our program has established a wonderful tradition of excellence.
Music students have an 80% graduation rate compared to students with no music credits in high school, who average a rate of 72%.

High school music students, compared to those with no music credits, average 8.73% higher on SAT Math and 10.34% higher on SAT Verbal.

High school music students on a free and/or reduced lunch price program averaged 41 points higher on SAT Math and 50 points higher on SAT Verbal than students with no music credits.
Students involved in four music credits average a 3.1 GPA compared to students with no music credits averaging a 2.7 GPA.

We have a number of classes available for students of all ability levels. We offer Beginning Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, and Chorus.

Become a Volunteer
We are always in need of volunteers to help with band and chorus events. The District School Board of Pasco County requires that all parents complete the Volunteer Application before they can volunteer with our program.
