Monday Music Notes is a weekly post that is intended to remind everyone of upcoming events and due dates for the RBSMS Band and Choir. If you ever have questions, don’t hesitate to contact Mr. Schmidt.
Monday, February 11th
– After School Practice until 3:30 p.m. (optional)
Tuesday, February 12th
– After School Practice until 3:30 p.m. (optional)
Wednesday, February 13th
– After School Practice until 3:30 p.m. (optional)
Thursday, February 14th
– Symphonic Band Rehearsal until 4:30 p.m.
– Remember, this rehearsal counts as a grade towards the 3rd quarter rehearsal/performance grade.
Friday, February 15th
– No After School Rehearsal
Saturday, February 16th
– Bowl-a-thon from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
– Cost is $15.00 per person. This includes 2 hours of bowling, shoes, pizza and soda!
– This is a fundraiser and social event for our band/chorus. Help us out by participating!
Other Notes:
- Students & Parents – Don’t forget to practice daily. In Band/Chorus we don’t have homework, but we do ask you to practice. Your practice goal should be 20-30 minutes per day (at least 5 times per week). If your student completes their practice homework, they’ll quickly improve. Students who do not will fall behind in class. If you or your student need information on how to create a practice schedule, please email me at bschmidt@pasco.k12.fl.us.
- Parents – Don’t forget to login into Charms (charmsoffice.com) and sign-up to chaperone. We have a number of events coming up that we need chaperones for, such as:
- Bowl-a-thon
- MPA (band, jazz band & chorus)
- Founder’s Day Parade
- USF Concert Trip (forms will be coming home soon)
