According to Florida statute, all students entering the seventh grade during the 2015-2016 school year must have had the Tdap immunization within the last 5 years.
Please check with your doctor or the health department to see if your child needs the above immunization. You may also check with the school to see what is on record here. It would be advisable to talk with your child’s doctor as soon as possible to avoid the “August rush”. If your child has already received their Tdap, please provide the certificate of immunization to the school.
Failure to get the required vaccination will result in your child not receiving their class schedule and being excluded from seventh grade.
