The Pasco County Sheriff Department responded to a call last night of someone possibly making a threat to Raymond B. Stewart Middle School.  The threat, shared via SnapChat, was written on a wall in black magic marker.  After conducting extensive research, the Sheriff Department was able to locate the very same image on the internet.  It turns out it was not written on the wall Stewart Middle, it was written on the wall at Apex Friendship High School in south Florida.  For more information about the origin of this post, please  refer to our school FB page and Web Page for a link to the article.

Please be assured, the Pasco County Sheriff Department takes all threats to our school seriously.   Currently, there is still an active investigation to identify the student who posted the note, despite it appearing to be a “hoax threat”.     Parents, please talk to your child about the seriousness of making hoax threats.   Students who make hoax threats face disciplinary consequences  from school as well as criminal prosecution.  We want to thank the Pasco County Sheriff Department for their focused investigation that took place throughout the evening.  Thanks to their hard work, our school community can be assured that all threats will be investigated and taken seriously.
