Today was our Band Student’s individual performances at the FBA Solo & Ensemble Festival, which took place at the Challenger K8 in Spring Hill. Students performed their solos with a piano accompaniment, and earned ratings based on their performance. Students performance ratings range from a Superior (best), Excellent, Good, Fair and Poor (worst). In addition to earning a rating, they were also given feedback from their adjudicator.
Yesterday was our Concert Choir’s performance at the FVA Choral Music Performance Assessment, which took place in Inverness, FL. Our chorus gave a great performance and earned a Superior rating, which is the highest rating a chorus can earn. In addition, this is our Choral program’s second time participating in this event, and they’ve already earned their first Superior! Congratulations to all of our choral students!
The 8th grade field trip to Grad Nite will be taking place on May 2nd from 5:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. To participate you must have:
- Purchased a ticket ($65) from Ms. Mathews in the Cafetorium.
- Returned permission slip to Ms. Mathews in the Cafetorium.
Yesterday was our Jazz Ensemble’s performance at the FBA Jazz Music Performance Assessment, which took place at the Center for the Arts at Wesley Chapel. Our band gave a great performance and earned straight Superiors, which is the highest rating a band can earn.
On February 27, 2014, we will be hosting our Community Connections Night. During the event parents will have the opportunity to have a parent/teacher conference and will be able to attend some informational sessions.
